CONSULTATION
Teamwork is key in successfully launching a magazine. Before any work, we will either meet in person or on conference call to gain a thorough understanding of your company dynamics and goals, in order to create a magazine that satisfies all of your needs. Our focus, subject to your feedback, is on spawning leads for your property listings and agents, recruiting new agents, and building your brand through design, content and distribution that appeals to both residents and visitors, as well as your farm areas. Following the initial consultation, we will remain in steady communication to ensure the magazine hits all of your target points
TEMPLATE DESIGN
Soon after the consultation, we will provide 2-4 potential magazine design templates for your review. Based on your feedback, we will refine your preferred design style to best reflect your company goals. We will also discuss potential names for your new magazine.
EDITORIAL BRAINSTORMING
Approximately 6 weeks prior to printing, we conduct a brainstorming conference call to elicit editorial ideas for your first issue. Ideas typically come from your team’s on-the-ground perspective of the local culture and environment, as well as our team’s experience in what type of articles traditionally generate the most interest and communication from readers.
CONTENT LAYOUT
As writers begin to submit articles, we initialize layout of your issue: covers, property ads, company branding pages, editorial, etc. This step of the process is the most involved for your team, as we’ll depend on you to submit materials for property ads and other company pages. We will be in heavy contact throughout the layout and proofing process to ensure your magazine appears exactly as you envision.
Our print partners are among the nation’s best regarded, and our business volume commands discounted rates for our clients. Sierra Media Group will employ the printer that best fits the specific needs of your magazine. We remain in steady contact with the print company throughout the printing process, including on-site press checks, so that the quality of your final publication is as impressive as the work that went into it.
DISTRIBUTION
Once printed, your magazine must be distributed via the most reliable, quickest and cost-effective methods available. Whether your plan is as simple as bulk-shipping cartons of magazines to your office, or as dynamic to include direct mail, insertion with other publications, or newsstand presence, our experience will make it happen seamlessly for you. We’ll keep you informed of estimated arrival dates, so you know exactly when readers will receive your magazine.
POST-PRODUCTION STRATEGY
Once you, your company and your past and future customers have enjoyed the magazine, it’s time to review and strategize for the next issue. Our post-production strategy session discerns your team’s feelings about the best of your first issue, what needs improvement, and adjustments to be made going forward so that each issue is better than the one before.
